Groups allow multiple users to have a common space within the app. Here's what you can do with the group:
- Creation & Invitation: A user can create a group and then invite others to join. Invitations are typically sent through unique codes or links.
- Location Sharing: Once a group is formed, members can share their real-time location with others in the same group. This makes it easier for families, friends, or teams to keep track of each other's whereabouts.
- Custom Notifications: Group members can set up notifications to be alerted when someone arrives or leaves a specific place, like home, school, or work.
- Communication: Groups often come with in-app messaging, allowing members to communicate directly. (coming soon)
- Privacy Settings: Group members usually have the option to choose when and with whom they share their location. Some might opt to share continuously, while others might prefer to share only at specific times.
- Administrative Controls: The creator of the group or designated administrators can manage members, which includes sending invites, removing members, or modifying group settings.
Groups are beneficial for families wanting to ensure the safety of their loved ones, friends coordinating meet-ups, or teams working together in close proximity. By being part of a group, you can stay connected and informed about the members" locations and activities.
