Places are specific locations you can set up to receive notifications when a Group member arrives at or departs from that spot. Commonly set Places include:
- Work
- Home
- School
- Shop
- Other (flexible for any purpose you have in mind)
To add a Place:
- Access the Places Feature: On the Famio main screen, tap the "Places" button
- Initiate Adding: Tap the "Add" button next to the type of place you want to add
- Enter the Location Details: When you start typing, a dropdown list of suggestions will appear. If your place is not on the list, you can manually locate it on the map
- Manually Locate on Map: Move the map around until the central pin points at your desired location, then tap "Next"
- Name the Place: Give a meaningful name to the location. Tap the "+" sign to proceed.
- Define the Radius: Adjust the place radius by moving the "Tracking area" slider
- Activate Notifications: If you want to receive alerts whenever group members enter or leave the defined Place, tap "Turn on Notifications"
- Save the Place: Once set up as you want, tap "Save" in the top right corner
Once saved, you'll start receiving notifications based on the preferences you've set for the Place.
